Extra Nights at the Mauna Kea (Based upon space availability. Please book early!):
The following rates are valid for additional nights, five days before and five days after the Conference dates, based on per room, per night, INCLUSIVE of tax and maid gratuities...(refer to accommodations page for info)
Children/Families:
The Mauna Kea's maximum guestroom capacity is three (3) adults, or two (2) adults and one (1) child. There is no room charge for children 17 years and under while staying in their parents' room, utilizing existing bedding.
The program package prices for children participating in CAL-ABOTA group functions are:
Ages 5-11 - $345
Ages 12-17 - $659
Children under 5 are free
The Mauna Kea charges $75 (plus tax) per night for a rollaway bed, which you can request in advance. This will be billed to incidentals on your room account.
For a third adult, age18 and over sharing a room - the package price is $995 plus a $75 (plus tax) per night rollaway charge.
Single Occupancy Supplements:Prices are based on double occupancy. There will be a supplemental charge of $895 for single occupancy**.
Function-only price:
For those individuals who prefer to make accommodation arrangements some place OTHER than the Mauna Kea, but plan to participate in the social functions, the function-only price is $885.00 per person. Please note breakfast is NOT included in the function-only price.

You may pay by check or credit card.
Reservations:
Reservations for the 2009 Hawaii Conference may be obtained only through Creative Travel Planners and/or this website. As space is limited, accommodations will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the date and time your reservation and deposit are received by Creative Travel Planners.
Transfers for Arrivals/Departures:
The conference package does not include airport transfers. Creative Travel Planners will be happy to assist with rental cars. The hotel has complimentary valet parking. Taxis are available at the airport (approximately $75 + tax one way to the Mauna Kea).
The Conference Package rate is:
$1,995 per person based on double occupancy**
A Convention Registration fee of $450 applies to ABOTA/CAL-ABOTA member and other primary registrants.
**PACKAGE PRICE UPDATE:For our program dates of November 2-7, the hotel has agreed to include buffet breakfast at the Manta Restaurant. Since breakfast has always been included as part of the package cost, those who have already registered will receive a revised invoice with the applicable credit of $35 per person, per day. New registrations will see the credit reflected during the registration process.
Air Arrangements:
Creative Travel Planners has negotiated discount fares for CAL-ABOTA, including discounts in first class. Upon receipt of your registration, CTP will forward an air itinerary and fare quote, if requested. As CTP no longer receives commission from the airlines, a charge of $50.00 per ticket issued, exchanged or refunded will be added to your invoice.
Booking Deadline:
The published CAL-ABOTA package cost is applicable for reservations received by September 30, 2009. Late reservations are subject to availability and potentially higher cost.
Cancellation Policy:
For cancellations made on or after October 3, 2009 the hotel may assess a 100% room penalty. "No shows" will be assessed the full amount of the stay. The airlines impose penalties for cancellations or changes.

Creative Travel Planners, Inc. shall use its best efforts in the selection of qualified carriers, hotels and other suppliers to provide transportation and services as described.
